Fremantle have re-signed captain Matthew Pavlich, ending growing speculation about his AFL future.
The four-year deal will tie the All-Australian key forward to the Dockers until 2014 and effectively makes him a Docker for life.
He will qualify for veteran status in 2012.
Pavlich's uncontracted status meant he was inevitably linked to expansion club Gold Coast, who can pick up one unsigned player from each club ahead of their AFL debut next season.
His new deal is a massive boost for the Dockers ahead of Friday night's semi-final against reigning premiers Geelong at the MCG. - aap
