Dunn seeks release from Valley after Geelong ban

Dwayne Dunn was trying to get a release from four rides at Moonee Valley after being suspended for seven meetings at Geelong on Friday.

Dunn was booked for Saturday rides on Lee Freedman's stablemates Mont Fleuri (Group Two Stocks Stakes) and Above Average (AJS Corporation Handicap) as well as My Girl Helen (Sphinx Hotel Handicap) and third emergency Testapal (Pulse Pharmacy Handicap).

A release from his Moonee Valley rides would enable Dunn to ride at the Underwood Stakes meeting at Caulfield next Saturday.

Dunn was suspended for careless riding near the 800 metres on the Freedman-trained Saikou in the GRC Function Centre Plate (1100m).

The suspension is his first in 900 rides. - aap
